Introduction

The Suspects are a four piece pop/ rock group available to play clubs, concerts and such casual dates as weddings, dances, various staff and other private parties. Their material is a combination of original songs from Jon Fidler's 1994 debut CD Cryin' Shame and his upcoming 2004 album All This Fun ... and Money Too. The band also covers a wide variety of of Classic Rock, Top-40 Pop/ Rock and Ballads standards. A songlist is included below for a more detailed breakdown of their material.

The Suspects was started by lead vocalist/ guitarist Jon Fidler in May of 1994 as The Jon Fidler Band. After years of playing the club circuit, Jon released his independently produced and financed debut CD Cryin' Shame as a solo project using local studio musicians. As the first single and title track, Cryin' Shame, became play listed on forty plus radio stations across the country Jon contacted drummer / vocalist Mart Hall, bassist Tom Demerson and guitarist Scott Vaughan and formed the band The Suspects to play various showcase gigs in his hometown of Fredericton and throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia.

The group kept busy opening concerts for April Wine, Kim Mitchell and Trooper and entered into a sponsorship agreement with Molson Canadian involving various specialty products, posters, signage and T-Shirts.

In 1996 the band is began recording a few songs for the second album album after winning studio time by placing as major prize winners in Maritime Broadcasting's Startracks Search for New Talent contest. During this time bassist Tom Demerson left the group to be replaced by the current bassist Pete Horncastle and later in 2000 guitarist Scott Vaughan left the group top be replaced by Rob MacFee who played on the first CD Cryin' Shame .During this time the band has put the bar scene behind them to concentrate exclusively as a show band playing clubs, concerts, weddings, dances, various staff and other private parties. Due to a combination of great musicianship, showmanship and strong material the Suspects continue to pay to happy groups throughout the region. 

Late in 2004 the Suspects returned the the studio to record more material and will be releasing the second album All This Fun ... and Money Too just prior to Xmas 2004. Advance previews of the opening single Aint That Lucky have been positive and the singe has been put on rotation at local radio stations.
